The Tornado was one of the "three natural disasters" of Coney Island; the others were Thunderbolt (long gone) and Cyclone (still standing and protected as a landmark). The Tornado was lost to a fire in the 1970's.

A number of years ago I posted a coaster based on my fading memories of the general style of the Tornado. Needless to say, it had nothing to do with the actual plan of the real thing.

Now, thanks to the internet, I have a side elevation plan and several videos of the real thing. So I am now pleased to present "The Real Tornado" (or as close as one can get in RCT3).
