Nexus: A large B&M Sitdown located in Silverthorne Valley, California. Construction finished in the fall of 1960, and the ride opened for the '61 season. This was the first coaster added to the park by Silverthorne Junior, and his most costly venture. Although its construction buried the park in debt for half a decade, attendance rates were never higher for the rest of the century as droves of people flocked to see the coaster.

Contrary to common belief - B&M in this case does not correspond to world famous Bolliger and Mallibard, in this case it belongs to a metalworking company by the name of "Boredom and Monotony." No one is quite sure why they named the company that, although some speculate it's because they never had any business - thus leading employees to be employed for long hours of boredom and monotony. The metalworkers had no experience building roller coasters, however; after hearing the story of how Silverthorne Senior build the lift hill of Gangplank by himself they resolved to build the best steel coaster the world had ever seen. After all, if a senile old man could build a lift hill that never seemed to age out of wood they could pull off something just as great right? Unfortunately their metalworking skills were not as great as they had originally thought, as Nexus historically has the worst reliability out of all the rides in the park.
