He is feeling tired after a long day of walking about and bleaching hair, and he could choose to not do any of the tasks on his tiny changes list but some reason it feels strange 'not' to do them so he does them, in spite of feeling tired, knowing he'll feel better after wards (and can rest throughout the day tomorrow). This creation is part of that list.
