Blasting out of the station at nearly 80 mph, riders are launched 180 ft to the top of a large, vertical tower, whereupon they fall 219 ft vertically into the industrial zone, reaching a top speed of 89 mph. The 8-car train rockets through the series of factories and refineries before flying up a second hill; after which it falls into the sandy dunes, narrowly missing the man-made lake, and rips into an underground tunnel. After making its way back into daylight and snaking through a few more dunes, the train flies up one final hill directly through the Industrial Convention Center/La Quinta Inn, whereupon it executes its final drop and u-turns into the hotel parking lot before it makes a final turn and hits the brakes, ending the 3,323-ft ride. All in a span of 37 seconds.

Because of its multiple ground-level elevations, careful dune-dodging and short subterranean encounter, Industrial Force, or "Dusty" for short, is the only thrust air terrain coaster ever built. It is also the tallest, highest-dropping, and the only one in the world to feature multiple vertical towers. The records it holds combined with the tight, high-speed turns featured throughout the ride through various settings make this ride a unique experience for any roller coaster enthusiast.
