Toxicity - A large corkscrew coaster built in the late 90's. Many at the time thought it was a ride themed around the villain: The Joker from Batman, however this is not the case.
The ride's name comes from a scandal discovered in the park around the same time of its construction. The company hired to do all ride construction - Blazing Inferno Empire Co. - decided it was a good idea to empty all of the cargo containers full of paint that was left over from painting the station, track, and surrounding buildings into the lake. What the company wasn't told by their supplier was that the paint was actually extremely toxic, however; it was only toxic to a certain species of carp that only lives in the park's lake.
The scandal caused widespread panic and a local group of highschoolers thought it would be funny to promote the ride's name as Toxicity, since superstition claimed you'd be poisoned if you touched the paint. The little joke turned into a proposal by the town of Evergreen to stop the building, however; tourism from the paint scandal had greatly improved business in the surrounding area. Shortly after the proposal was made to stop the building it developed into a petition to make the ride's name Toxicity.
