--California's Great America 2019*--

Opened in 1976 along with Great America in Gurnee, IL, they were both built by Marriott. In 1983, the city of Santa Clara, CA bought this park. Kings Enterntainment took ownership in 1985. Paramount Parks, which had now operated 5 parks too possession in 1992 for 15 years.

Current owner Cedar Fair acquired the park in 2006 and replaced the themes of Nickelodeon and Paramount with Peanuts and Snoopy. The park is landlocked and is located next to the San Francisco 49ers stadium (2011). In July 2019, Cedar Fair bought the land underneath giving them full control.

The park is home to Gold Striker, a top 20 wooden coaster and RailBlazer one of 3 RMC Raptor models. The waterpark, South Bay Shores opened in 2004 as Boomerang Bay.
